What's really going on in Libya?

I've refrained from talking about Libya because I knew something fishy was going on but I couldn't put my finger on it. How is it that Qaddafi can stay in power seeing he's clearly crazier than a sprayed roach, his army is deserting him right and left, and all his assets have been frozen? Who's paying his mercenaries? Who benefits from him staying in power (at least until we can justify our intervention ...)?

Well, this goes a long way towards explaining that:
GORDON DUFF: ISRAEL INTERVENES IN LIBYA…FOR GADDAFI!
"...Israel has promised Libya’s dictator of over 40 years, Colonel Gaddafi, 50,000 troops to aid in crushing rebels set on overthrowing his his murderous rule."

Report: Israel company recruiting Gadhafi mercenaries

I've heard these mercenaries are being hired from countries all over Africa for $200 a day. And then I hear from What Really Happened: "The US demands immunity for foreign mercenaries in the International Criminal Court," and "The UK Telegraph reported that African mercenaries hired by the Gaddafi regime to kill Libyan protesters would be immune from prosecution for war crimes due to a clause in this weekend’s UN resolution that was demanded by the United States." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cbvz2mTUDWA

Now get a load of this story: US Waivers on "Regime Change"

Just how committed is the government of the United States towards the people's right to a democracy? Keep in mind, if you're paying taxes, you're helping Israel fund Qaddafi's mercenaries. For what? So we can can fight them ourselves, and use this intervention to install a "new, improved" Western puppet and control their oil policies? This is madness.

WOW. Just wow. Do you know anything about who the EU President is and what the meeting with Qaddafi was about? Other than publicity as Nigel Farage suggested?

I think politics is like pro wrestling. Everybody pretends to be rivals to play people against each other, then when the cameras turn off -- they are best buddies, wining and dining together as they make deals for profit at the people's expense.
