RIP -- "Rowdy" Roddy Piper

I admit it. I used to be a big Pro Wrestling fan when I was a kid. Maybe that's why I'm so hip to all the shenanigans going on in the news media today. They are no less fake than the crap I got so caught up with as a youngster in front of the Saturday morning TV. And they work the same way pulling on your emotions. The similarity is pretty striking, actually.

But even as a kid I knew the matches were fixed and it was all fake. I just willingly suspended my disbelief because those guys were so entertaining, and provided some form of escape from the misery of my childhood. And even though the kilt-wearing, surly Roddy Piper was supposed to be a bad guy, he was always my favorite, I suppose in the same way Wile E. Coyote was my favorite cartoon character. There was an element of cussedness about them.

This next clip demonstrates that element perfectly. In the classic movie "They Live" (every truther should see that, BTW), Piper and Keith David go through probably the longest fight scene ever in an attempt for Piper's character (Nada) to show his friend (Frank) the truth about the world -- that people were being secretly programmed by inhuman monsters. The tenacity Piper shows, to my mind, demonstrates the kind of persistence required from everyone in the truth movement. Like Frank, people *really* *really* don't want to know that everything they thought they knew is wrong. But they need to know. Because you know what? Those monsters worship death, and death doesn't win in the end. I know this for a fact. Bless you, Mr. Piper, for doing your part to wake us up.

I thought you might be interested in these two You Tube videos. The MonsterVision video I seen when it originally aired back in the 90's. Piper says John Carpenter had Reaganomics in mind when he made the movie. In the second video with Alex Jones, he says that the movie has since taken on a life of it's own. Because of the changes in America. He also mentions in the second video that Reaganomics inspired John Carpenter.
