The above quote is from CISPA Is Ridiculously Hideous (And It Just Passed The House)
Get a clue, people. Between the Patriot Act, NDAA, and the law I spoke about in the last post, "laws" are being enacted that profess to nullify the entire Bill of Rights. "Homeland Security" is buying up tons of dum-dum bullets and bullet-proof "show me your papers!" checkpoint booths. There are 63 Secret Killer Drone Bases Inside The US right now. What are they preparing for? An economic collapse, maybe?
I hate to be a downer or some kind of Cassandra but ... this stuff is for real and it's right in our face. Doesn't it kind of tell you something that you can now be "strip searched" for driving without a seatbelt?
I'm just telling you to get ready, folks -- spiritually, mentally and physically. "Laws" like this don't get passed for no reason.

Felony for free speech? I don't think so.
What kind of treasonous, fucked-up bullshit is this? A guy who would sign such a bill into "law" has no business calling himself a "Constitutional Scholar," let alone President of the United States, where one swears to serve and protect that Constitution.
[h/t: whatreallyhappened.com]
This is a fake law which is clearly not valid under the Bill of Rights. The guys going around saying they represent the people in this country aren't legitimate either. They think they can sell our sovereignty to the highest bidder.
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances." -- first amendment to the Constitution of the United States
"...[W]hen a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object, evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security." -- the Declaration of Independence

Be Prepared
Isn't that the Boy Scout motto? :) One of my favorite books as a kid was a Boy Scout manual from the 1950's I got at a garage sale for about 50 cents. It was an absolute treasure for someone interested in learning how to camp out and thrive in nature, and I'd highly recommend getting something like that right around now, for reasons that should be apparent in this video:

Feeling overwhelmed ...
I feel it's important for me to keep plugging away at my blog, it keeps me connected to the outside world ... but quite frankly it's been overwhelming for me lately. What do I write about? It seems like the world's falling apart, and nothing significantly *new* is happening, somehow at the same time. With all the crap happening at Fukushima lately, it's a wonder we haven't all fried to a crisp at this point. Everytime I turn around it seems like there's a new government spying program gunning for us, they're putting drones up in the sky, the shrimp in the Gulf of Mexico are turning up horribly deformed (gee, I wonder why?), there's a new outrage at what they're putting into our food, air and water, the 2012 candidates are all one big joke that just isn't funny ... as if they actually counted our votes anyway. What am I going to say?
I still think it's important to talk about the truth. Too many people have covered their ears and taped their eyes shut but I can't help but think that truth-tellers have been making a difference. But now we've come to a point where I'm sure that voting, or writing your congressman isn't going to help. I think the Occupy movement made some sort of difference but again we've hit some sort of impasse.
These are extraordinary times we're living in, I know they are. I feel it's important we say something, it's important we do something, but what? For the longest time I really believed we could fix things within the system. If we just voted in the right candidate, if we could just garner enough media attention ... but we can't! The game is rigged. I don't want to focus on negative things all day, it's exhausting. Maybe the solution is to do what Gandhi said, "Be the change you want to see in the world" and just ignore the chaos flying all around us, it will all fall away soon enough anyway, right?
No, I don't *really* think the world will end in December 2012, but I can see the attraction of thinking that way. I'm at the point where I'm completely disgusted and distraught at the state of world leadership -- absolute corruption. Maybe it has always been this way. However, I can't shake the feeling that something really weird and different is going down, much like the Renaissance or the Enlightenment. I guess throughout history everyone lives their own version of "interesting times."
Sorry for this rather unfocussed post, but I figured I'd let my readers in as to why my blog seems to vacillate from hope and despair every other entry, because that's pretty much how I've been feeling lately ... :(

Asking yourself the important questions
I once heard (I think from Tony Robbins ... :) that the mind is like a computer designed to answer questions. As we all know, computers are only as useful as what the user does with them. You can solve the world's problems with them but most people use them to play games or watch porn.
I pride myself on occasionally being a "meta" thinker (someone who thinks about thinking). So here's a "meta" question -- what are the best kinds of questions to ask? Well, here's one that inspired me to write this post -- How Will History Remember You? [h/t: whatreallyhappened.com]
I highly recommend reading that article because the author is asking some pretty significant questions. We should all be asking ourselves these kinds of questions, otherwise we're just blowing our state-of-the-art brilliant hardware on a game of solitaire.
I also highly recommend this article: A Hopi Elder Speaks
It asks the following useful questions:

It's that time of year again ...
I always get nervous around this time of year. It seems hard to believe, but it's been almost 20 years since the Branch Davidian compound near Waco, Texas burned to the ground killing 81 people, many of them innocent children. This was later used as the reason for the Oklahoma City Bombing (taking place the same day in 1995), which I now believe to be a false-flag event. And then there was the Columbine school shooting which took place on April 20th. But a lot of things happened on the 19th of April -- some older people might remember it as "Patriot's Day" because the "shot heard 'round the world" happened on this day in 1775 at Lexington and Concord.
I'm old enough to remember Waco clearly, though at the time I was very naive politically. Still, I remember being extremely frustrated with the ATF's course of action over the 51-day siege of the Branch Davidian compound. Basically you had a cult, armed to the teeth, holed up in their own fort designed to wait out the end of the world. And here were these dumb ATF guys blasting bright lights, Tibetan chants and God knows what else at them (I'm sure they had directed wave energy weapons at that time). You just knew it wasn't going to end well, and of course it didn't.
I still don't know much about what happened at Waco, but I can tell you that what happened at Oklahoma City was a dry run for what happened on 9-11-01. Funny, nowadays they're calling Sept. 11 "Patriot Day." What a coincidence. Another coincidence is they used the same crew (CDI) to clean up after the Twin Towers as they did for the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building.
Well, here's hoping we get through the next few days in peace (and not pieces)! For more about the Oklahoma City Bombing, check out WhatReallyHappened.com, they always have a lot to say about it.
