I've never been a registered Democrat, but I consider myself a progressive, so you'd think I'd be miffed at the Dems losing their filibuster-proof majority to the Massachusetts Senate race. Effectively, the people of Massachusetts spit on the grave of Ted Kennedy and, according to the mainstream press, destroyed any opportunity for health care reform to pass. This is all BS of course, they could pass it now if they wanted, but they won't because the Dems are just as corrupt as the Republicans, they just have to pretend a little more that they care about the downtrodden.
Do you get the feeling the Dems deliberately threw this fight? Why did Caroline Kennedy mysteriously drop her bid, for example? Am I wrong, or wouldn't she have been a shoe-in? Instead they ran a lady who didn't know the Red Sox from the Yankees, and was a "lazy campaigner." How convenient for the corporate-owned Democratic Senators that they now have a ready-made excuse for not passing a single progressive piece of legislation -- they don't have the 60% "majority" to override a Republican filibuster.
So why am I, a progressive, happy about this? Because it hastens the inevitable demise of the stinkingly corrupt Democratic Party. The sooner that moldy old tub sinks, the better! Too many good people have had their time, money and energy bled dry to elect Dems, only to have their hopes dashed that their reps will do anything to help the needy, or stop imperial wars. What those people should really be doing is focusing on election reform -- get the money out of elections and make it possible for other-party candidates to get elected! The two-party system is broken beyond repair! Down with the Dems! Down with the Republicans! Down with the *illusion* of democracy!

Educate yourself -- the Mainstream Media is lying to you.
Americans are being bombarded by propaganda. Don't let 5 or 6 mega-corporations decide what is news for you! Here are some questions you might ask yourself:
Is Bin Laden still alive?
Is there really such a thing as Al-Qaeda?
Is the media's main topic of discussion relevant to my life? What am I being distracted from? Who's funding this issue? Who benefits from this turn of events?
Thomas Jefferson wrote: "Whenever the people are well-informed, they can be trusted with their own government" and "Enlighten the people generally, and tyranny and oppressions of body and mind will vanish like evil spirits at the dawn of day." Unfortunately, the American people have grown very ill-informed, and we're getting the government we deserve.
On the 11th of every month I try to take some kind of action to spread the word about what I think is the worst media/government deception of recent times, because it has been used as the fundamental excuse for "the War on Terror" (how can you possibly win a war against a tactic?): the events of Sept. 11, 2001. They have been used to justify the gutting of our Bill of Rights (read about the Patriot Act), our use of torture, and the invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq.

Watch them and share them with your friends! Have the courage to bring up this topic with neighbors and acquaintances. It's time to break the silence.

Happy New Year
I'm sure glad the past decade is over. During one of my rare glances at Corporate TV News I heard the talking heads discuss whether the past decade should be called the "zeros," the "aughts," the "2000's" or whatever. I'll just call it the "crap years."
One of the last things that happened during those crap years was a young guy with a very Muslim-sounding name managed to get on a Christmas international plane to Detroit with a bunch of explosives in his pants. Excuse me, airline security has new mothers dumping out breast milk, forfeiting nail clippers and fingernail polish, but this guy (who was being reported on by the CIA's Africa division) got on board and Homeland Security Secretary Janet Nepolitano says everything went according to plan?
I don't know what to make of the following American eye-witness claim that he had been shepherded onto the plane by an Indian man who claimed he was a refugee from Sudan, but it's worth a look:
CNN Airs Witness Testimony that 'Well Dressed' Indian accomplice helped Abdulmutallab board without passport.
I'll admit I don't have enough time on the internet to peruse the details of this lame false-flag scenario, but I think it's obviously an excuse to ratchet up the fear and attack Yemen in the bargain. Until next time, here's a toast for the teens (or whatever you want to call this new decade)! To the liberation of the oppressed, and God bless us, every one!

Merry Christmas, everyone!
I don't have much to say today, but I wanted to make sure I saved the link for this interesting article: Controlling The Minds Of The Masses: How It Is Done And Why. The article speaks, among other things, about how knowledge about archetypes (think Jung) have been used by secret societies and mystery schools for centuries to control the populace. I personally believe this is very true and it would behoove the general populace to learn more about them.

9-11 was an inside job!
Let's stop treating 9-11 like it was some "special case" and start rationally looking at it like we would any other crime. What does any investigator look for in a crime?

Motive:
Who really "cleaned up" on 9-11-01? Who won big? The Taliban?? The Iraqis??? (!) I'd say amongst the major beneficiaries were the Bush administration, the owner of the twin towers lease (Larry Silverstein), and several war profiteering companies like Raytheon, Halliburton, and the Carlyle Group (Gee, who had interests in the Carlyle Group on 9-11-01? George Bush Sr. and the Bin Laden family?? Wow, what a coincidence!).
-- Okay, so what was the president doing on 9-11-01? It would be very telling to find out. So look it up. Let me help you get started: one of the most chilling things I've ever seen starts at about 1hr :02 min on this documentary: http://www.911docs.net/everybodys_gotta_learn_sometime.php . These are the moments directly after Andy Card supposedly tells Bush "America is under attack." And Bush just sits there listening to children read. And with each passing minute you can't help but squirm and think, "something is terribly wrong...(?!!)"
What was Cheney doing on 9-11? What was Porter Goss doing? Bush Sr.? Do some research. The answers are out there.
Opportunity:
Scientists have published peer-reviewed research stating that explosives were found amidst the remains of the WTC. Who had the opportunity to plant explosives in these buildings? Who owned the companies in charge of security at the WTC and the airlines involved with the attacks? Don't think a bunch of box-cutter wielding fanatics needed any inside help? Then how do you explain how they brought down a 50-story building like WTC7 without even hitting it with a plane?
Look, there are well-established protocols that are supposed to take place automatically when a plane is hijacked. These protocols did not take place on 9-11-01. The Pentagon continues to be among the most heavily defended airspace in the world. And the only thing the public gets to see involving that attack are 5 frames of balatedly, begrudgingly given nonsense.
Wake up, people! We are being lied to! These lies have been used as a justification for 2 very expensive wars of aggression, not to mention an excuse to strip us of our rights! Silence is complicity. Something needs to be done. What are you willing to do about it?

War Pigs
On my way to the library I happened to catch the lyrics of the old Black Sabbath song War Pigs, where Ozzy starts out comparing gathering generals to witches at black masses, plotting death and destruction to mankind. I thought about the inevitable troop surge in Afghanistan, and generals I've seen on TV (and real life, too ... don't forget about this incident). And I wonder about them. They're paper-pushers, mostly. And probably really good politicians. They probably don't think they're really bad people. But are they?
Surely they must know that 9-11 was an inside job. Attacking Afghanistan had nothing to do with catching Osama bin Laden and everything to do with geo-political standing, oil pipelines and the heroin trade. So what are we doing sending more troops into the quagmire? What are we doing sending unmanned drones to rain terror and death on hundreds of innocent civilians? In the old days, at least, generals fought with their men on the battlefields. Now we don't even send human beings to kill the innocent, we send remote-controlled airplanes.
As I listened to the song, I must say it reinforced my growing belief we are coming closer and closer to that Hour when God calls and the war pigs come crawling, begging mercy for their sins, and "Satan laughing spreads his wings."
We need to get out of Afghanistan, the sooner the better.
