Moving out of San Francisco

It's getting way too expensive for me to stay here so I'm afraid I'll have to do my blogging somewhere else. I'd appreciate all the kind thoughts and prayers you could send my way, it's never easy to uproot oneself, esp. after they've stayed way longer than is their custom, as I've done here (can you blame me? I think San Francisco is the most beautiful city in the world! I sure had to put up with a lot of crap to stay here though).

I've heard this was a really good article, I've only had time to read half of it, though ... The Great American Bubble Machine.

What a disappointment this administration has turned out to be! Looks like Obama staged his first coup in Honduras after the Western hyped-up mess in Iran failed to acheive the results the CIA wanted. Then, in another colossal monument of hypocrisy, it's terror on the high seas as Israeli pirates hijack "the Spirit of Humanity" with a nobel prize winner and one of my personal heros, Cynthia McKinney, on board.

Obama's not going to save us, folks. He's a repeat of the Great Disappointment of 2006 -- the Democratically controlled House and Senate. Nothing's changing, people have just gotten complaisant. This may be a very dangerous time for us all.

Hi Jody! What's the Obama-Honduras connection?

Hi Heather! Well, I suppose that's a controversial opinion, which I kind of parroted from this article: Obama's First Coup d'Etat: Honduran President has been Kidnapped: Updates 1-17

It's no secret that the US has a bloody past intervening in South American countries, helping to set up death squads, etc., and the above article ends with: "The modus operandi of the coup makes clear that Washington is involved. Neither the Honduran military, which is majority trained by U.S. forces, nor the political and economic elite, would act to oust a democratically elected president without the backing and support of the U.S. government. President Zelaya has increasingly come under attack by the conservative forces in Honduras for his growing relationship with the ALBA countries, and particularly Venezuela and President Chávez. Many believe the coup has been executed as a method of ensuring Honduras does not continue to unify with the more leftist and socialist countries in Latin America."

The guy who staged the coup, Gen. Romeo Orlando Vásquez, is a two time graduate of the U.S. Army School of the Americas, an institution that has trained hundreds of coup leaders and human rights abusers in Latin America. So when I say Obama staged his first coup, I mean it was the first coup undoubtedly backed by nefarious sectors in the US government, that happened under his administration.
