Resolve to spread the truth this year

"The truth will set you free, but first it will piss you off." ― Gloria Steinem
"They have millions of money and millions of obedient soldiers. We have only one thing, but that is the most powerful thing in the world: Truth." - Leo Tolstoy

We all know what the problem is ... massive ignorance and apathy. This year, resolve to be a part of the solution.

I know about as well as anyone that telling the truth won't make you popular. It's often ugly and unpleasant, like airing a flesh wound. But it's a necessary element in healing. The sooner people realize the depth and breadth of deception being perpetrated on them, the better they'll be able to deal with it. Ignoring a flesh wound leads to infection. Ignoring infection leads to gangrene. Ignoring gangrene leads to death. Things have been pretty bad lately, but there's plenty of room for them to get worse. A lot worse.

People vilify Iran's President Ahmadinejad for implying that 9-11 was an inside job, which was used to justify illegal occupations. But what if everyone found out he was right on that score? What are the implications? Could that prevent an attack on Iran, which may possibly lead to a third world war? Would that realization help us to clean up the "Mighty Wurlitzer" lie machine that we Americans have been living with for so long? Well, I still have hope. Please join me in my resolve to keep on spreading the truth in the coming year. Here are some sites to help get you started:

Life off the grid

Hi, everyone, just checking in ...

Here's another video from Alaska (you know, I went to high school and college in Fairbanks). I saw most of this documentary on PBS, and found this guy extremely inspiring. Hat tip to Vigilant Citizen for helping to spread his impressive story:

Merry Christmas!

The library is going to be closed for a while, so I won't be updating this site any time soon. But I do want to my readers know I really appreciate them and wish them the best for this coming year (the last until the "End of Days" according to the Mayan Calandar ... notice I added a countdown on the right-hand side of this page). Meanwhile, enjoy this nifty presentation of Hallelujah Chorus by the people of Quinhagak, Alaska (hat tip to whatreallyhappened.com):

Third party surprise?

Rachel Maddow (of MSNBC) said something yesterday that piqued my imagination. She noted that people were doing polls running Jeb Bush against Obama and the GOP clown hopefuls. She also noted that it costs big money to run these kinds of polls, and speculated on why it was being done. I guess someone asked Jeb's people about it, and they denied they were behind the polling, but we all know how much we can trust the Bushies. Rachel also mentioned there's been a shadowy group going around getting a third party on the ballot for all 50 states. Here's a story about them:

Americans Elect wins third party spot on California ballot

"Americans Elect's chairman is Peter Ackerman, who was right-hand man to junk-bond trader Michael Milken at Drexel Burnham Lambert in the 1980s [...] The group's board of advisors includes ... Mark McKinnon, a senior campaign advisor to President George W. Bush ..." Hmmmm. Wonder if we might see a third party Bush/Palin ticket sometime in the future ...

Thomas Kean and Donald Rumsfeld display shocking "ignorance" about Building 7

[Hat tip: 911blogger.com]

Thomas Kean was the Chair of the 9/11 Commission. If anybody is supposed to be an expert on what happened that day, it would be him, right? Yet here he is, claiming that "the Bureau of Standards" found that "aftershocks" caused the 47-story WTC 7 to collapse. First of all, the National Bureau of Standards changed their name to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in 1988. More importantly, NIST's report doesn't mention "aftershocks" at all, they claim *fire* brought down the building.

Now here's former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld claiming he doesn't even know what Building 7 is. EXCUSE ME? Our country loses a 47 story building during a terrorist attack and the Secretary of Defense doesn't know anything about it???

Get a clue, people! These guys are lying through their teeth and they belong in jail! Meanwhile, 9-11 is now being used to justify an attack on Iran!

One Hundred Million Dollar Penny

How do you visualize hundreds of millions, billions, and even several trillion dollars? This video does a great job explaining just how much has been stolen from the American people.

[Again, thank you, whatreallyhappened.com]

Maybe you should ask why ...

This makes sense to me.  Hat tip to whatreallyhappened.com.

I think we're beyond the point where voting will help.

This from Video Rebel's blog
"In modern America being intelligent, honest and outspoken can be fatal. And that is my problem." [Mine too!]
Please Vote For A Candidate Who Won’t Torture Me

Meanwhile, history is being made while Occupy Portland, Oakland, LA and others are shutting down all the ports on the American west coast.  As you can imagine, this is REAL action, the kind which can be very effective, if dangerous.  As you can imagine, at this hour the media is more or less ignoring what's going on.  This is something to watch and pay attention to!

Historical Occupy DC: U.S. Army Gasses & Attacks Veterans In Washington DC 1932

Not many people remember the Bonus Army. I don't remember being taught about it in school. It was only a few years ago when I read a book about it, which I highly recommend.

The Bonus Army: an American Epic

Back in 1932, many WWI veterans starved through the depression. Their only asset was bonus money promised for their service. So they came by the thousands and occupied D.C. to demand payment in full. The end of this video shows what happened to them:

So, did they make any difference at all? Yes they did. There wouldn't be a GI Bill if it weren't for the Bonus Marchers. But would-be service members would do well to remember how their government treated their fore-bearers before getting dragged off to another war -- say, in Iran.

Subconscious War

This is a half hour video by Quincy Davis, featuring Native American activist John Trudell. I was referred to it by this essay which claims that US culture more closely resembles Huxley's "Brave New World" than Orwell's "1984" (Personally, I think it resembles *both* far too close for comfort).

Can you light your faucet on fire?

Call me paranoid, but sometimes I think these energy companies deliberately want to poison us. And governments (not just ours, but those in Japan, for example) sit back and let them.

I found that clip on What Really Happened, as well as this nifty collection of "Occupy" posters.

Let's put our heads together, start a new country up,
Underneath the river bed we burned the river down
This is where they walked, swam, hunted, danced and sang,
Take a picture here, take a souvenir

Re: the ‘Indefinite Detention’ Bill

I've deliberately avoided talking about the utterly treasonous Section 1031 of the National Defense Authorization Act, which presumes to do away with the 5th amendment -- you know, the one that guarantees "No person shall be [...] deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law ..." because:
a) the Patriot Act, the attacks on Habeas Corpus, and the recent assassination of American al Awlaki already presume to do this, so why ratchet up the fear by screaming about yet another totally illegal and therefore illegitimate law?
b) the bill hasn't actually become "law" yet, Obama said he was going to veto it.

Well, I guess now, after all but seven senators passed the bill, it looks like they've got more than enough votes for a congressional override. And we should know who these traitors are. Here's a page that gives the roll call of both House and Senate versions of the bill, plus a revealing interview with Paul Craig Roberts on the subject.

Personally, I don't think in terms of "we've been stripped of all our rights today ..." -- the Constitution trumps any law a bunch of traitors come up with. And the Declaration of Independence says we have been endowed by our Creator with certain unalienable rights, among which are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. So don't fear, trust in God, and hold these traitors accountable for their blatant disregard for their oath of office and the Constitution.

This is going to come to a head, and it won't be pretty. But if you're with our Creator, you know you're on the winning side.

What would happen if ...

-- the members of our Armed Forces started defending our Constitution against *all* enemies, foreign *and* domestic, as they have sworn to do?

-- police officers began serving and protecting the *people* instead of corporations, as they have sworn to do?
